According to Della Corte, Urbanus was the name of the person living on the upper floor, above this shop. Amongst the few pieces of equipment found here, was a compass. He thought he was a maker of balances or weights (Sacomarius). A mutilated recommendation found here read –
Urbanus sa(comarius?) (rogat) [CIL IV 3752]. See Della Corte, M., 1965. Case ed Abitanti di Pompei. Napoli: Fausto Fiorentino. (p.137)

Urbanus salg[ [CIL IV 3752]
Another recommendation probably for the same Urbanus was found between IX.8.5 and 6, see IX.8.5.
