Room 19, painting of similar aviary structure from east end of south wall of great triclinium of I.4.25.
According to Van Buren -
“the proportions of the whole, and the curving lines at the top, are copied from a painting in yellow on black, showing a structure similar in design though presumably differing in function, in I.iv.25, on the wall to the right as one enters the great triclinium which opens at the north-east corner of the peristyle.”

VII.7.16 Pompeii. September 2005. Looking east across peristyle.
According to Garcia y Garcia, in this garden Luigi Jacono had in part reconstructed the antique birdhouse or aviary.
The aerial bombardment of 1943 destroyed three of the rooms on the east side and part of the south perimeter wall.
In the following years even the aviary was dismantled.
See Garcia y Garcia, L., 2006. Danni di guerra a Pompei. Rome: L’Erma di Bretschneider. (p.116, and Fig.265 the aviary, c.1932).
