On the left (east) side, the fresco of the Muse Erato, as drawn by La Volpe, would have been seen.

In the centre would have been the painting of the contest between Venus and Hesperus.  

On the right (west) side, the fresco of the Muse Urania, as drawn by La Volpe, would have been seen.
