VI.5.7 Pompeii. September 2005. Remains of painted plaster in cubiculum nearest the north-east corner. The zoccolo would have had alternating panels of plants on a red background, and then narrow compartments with painted imitation marble. Above the zoccolo was a green painted predella, with a still-life at its centre. In the centre of the wall would have been a wide yellow aedicula painted with surrounding architectural columns.
